The Ivy originally grew around a fallen log, naturally creating its distinctive shape. The intricate weaving forms were revealed after chiselling away the rotten log and removing the bark by hand.
The sturdy base has been specially crafted to be in keeping with the Ivy and to enhance the end grain of the wood.
A captivating natural form designed to hold two lanterns. When lit the changing candlelight casts intricate shadows across walls and ceiling, creating the illusion that the piece itself is moving. As the flames flicker, so do the shadows, bringing this sculpture to life and creating a constantly changing atmosphere.
