Handcrafted natural wood sculpture designed to hold lanterns for that special ambience.
The play of shadows gives the impression of movement.

The Ivy originally grew around a dead fallen branch, naturally creating its distinctive shape. The intricate weaving forms were revealed after chiselling away the rotten log and removing the bark by hand.

The sturdy base is crafted to be in keeping with the natural form and the Ivy and to reveal the interesting detail of the grain.

A single complex piece of Ivy that is stunning from every angle.

A captivating natural form designed to hold two lanterns. When lit the changing candlelight casts intricate shadows across walls and ceiling, creating the illusion that the piece itself is moving. As the flames flicker, so do the shadows, bringing this sculpture to life and creating a constantly changing atmosphere.

The wood used in this creation  is responsibly sourced and specially chosen for its shape and character. Any variations in colour are due to natural processes.

After the bark is removed  it is stored for some time then tested for dryness.

When the  wood is  seasoned it is then shaped, filed and sanded. Burnishing the wood  gives it that smooth feel before the final touch of  a natural beeswax  polish for a gentle long- lasting sheen.
